Are you, or will you be 45 in the year of the test? If so, you can get a place on a university degree by taking the exams for over 45s.
At Méndez Núñez Academy, we’re specialists in preparing people for the University Entrance Exams which is why we provide classes to make it easier for you. We have our own study resources, exams from previous years and highly experienced teachers, the combination of which means you’ll be totally ready to take on the exam.
The exam takes place in April and registration is normally in March.
What are the requirements to register for the University Entrance Exam for Over 45s?
Anybody who is, or will be, 45 in the year of the test and doesn’t already have a certificate that will let them into university can take this exam.
Getting onto each degree is dependent on marks and the number of places reserved for over 45s. You can find information on the marks required here.
We prepare students for this test with 3 hours of classes per week for each subject, 2 classes of one hour and a half. These classes for the University Entrance Exam run from October until mid-April when the exams take place.
We also provide a free service on Friday afternoons: study rooms. In the study rooms, you can ask the teachers for each subject any questions you might have. You can reserve your place for the study rooms online through your student profile on our web platform.
The University Entrance Exam for over 45s is formed of 2 parts: the exam itself and an interview. The exam has 2 sections:
– A written task analysing a text of a current theme.
– Spanish language test.
The interviewer will assess the candidate’s maturity and their suitability for the course. The interviewer’s final judgement will either be ‘suitable’ or ‘not suitable’.
